Camille Laurelli

Riot

2013–2022

Made up of countless clay figurines and inspired by an honest craftsmanship that has gone somewhat out of control, Riot is a prime example of Camille Laurelli’s passionate creative thought and how it branches out. The artist enjoys immersing himself in the possibilities of computer programs, playing with semantics, and is fascinated with the works of real-life artists. Among the starting points for Riot have been David Ter-Oganyan’s print art and digital drawings and ceramic art by Weiss and Fischli.
