Erik Hõim
Erik Hõim (b. 2001) is an artist and art worker currently living and working in Tallinn. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Photography Department of the Estonian Academy of Arts and has furthered his studies in the same field at FAMU in Prague. His visual practice is characterised by an installative and performative approach, along with a considered roughness. In his recent works, he has explored the figure of the horse, examining the power structures between humans and horses and the contradictions embedded within them. He is part of the fictional artist Uru Valter and a member of the Estonian Young Contemporary Art Union.
