Jass Kaselaan
Jass Kaselaan (b. 1981) is an artist who combines sculpture and sound with other mediums in his work, creating powerful spatial installations that are sensitive in content. Kaselaan graduated from Tartu Art College in 2006, earned a Master’s degree in Sculpture and Installation from the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) in 2008, and a Master’s degree in Animation in 2022. He has furthered his studies at Imatra Art School and in Berlin at the studios of Emil Holmer and Veronica Brovall. Kaselaan is the recipient of the Anton Starkopf Scholarship (2011), the Kristjan Raud Art Award (2014), and the Köler Prize main award (2014). His most recent solo exhibition, Shepherd. Grave. Human with Wings, took place at the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia in 2025.
