Madli Ljutjuk

Madli Ljutjuk (b. 1988) is a curator and art professional with a background in semiotics and art history, whose curatorial practice is characterised by an interest in activating artworks through site-specific and performative strategies. She founded the project spaces Galerii Mihhail and the Gallery of the 1st of March, which focused on issues of living environment and social welfare within a critical societal context. Her latest exhibition, The Art of Adapting, at the Kadriorg Art Museum, addressed the ways of perceiving, interpreting, and valuing natural environments and co-species, highlighting both the de-aesthetisation of nature based on ecofeminism and eco-aesthetics, as well as the possibilities for sustainable curating.
